NEW PUPPY

This new arrival will turn your life upside down.  Expect a couple of weeks before everyone adjusts to their new responsibilities and schedules.

HOUSETRAINING

Your puppy will need to be taken outside, with you, as follows

After they wake up
After eating
After about 10-15 minutes of play (even if they've only just 'been')
About once every 2 hours in addition to the above.

TOYS

You have lots of household junk that can be used very effectively for your puppy

CARDBOARD - Inside of loo rolls and kitchen rolls, cardboard boxes (all sizes).  A little will be swallowed, this isn't important.
PLASTIC - Do not allow them to eat plastic, but heavier weight plastic (litre containers from water for example) are fine.  Just throw them out when they get squashed.

WATCH OUT

Shoes, mobile phones, remote controls and glasses are great favourites, and they don't last long.  Put them out of reach

TIDY UP

Socks, any toys you want to keep safe, shoes, wellies - make sure these are tidy out of reach.

Keep all food items securely in cupboards, do not leave any food out on kitchen surfaces.
